Spray Applicator

Assemble spray cart like shown in Figures 2-5. Remove the cover and inside seal from the adhesive can.

Stir thoroughly. Replace the cover and open the pour spout on top of the can. Push the siphon tube of the all the way into the can. Warning: Do not operate the applicator near open flames, sparks, cigarettes, etc. Push the applicator forward with fast walking speed. Pull the handle grip to start the pump and spray. For the first spray action pull handle grip earlier to fill all the tubes with primer. Release the grip to stop the pump. New spray carts do not have a handle; for spraying the front wheel has to touch the surface.

The estimated usage stays typicaly in the range of 0,2-0,35L/m2 (meaning with the primer width of 19cm, suitable for a 15cm wide tape, around 350 running meters may be applied with a single 20L can of primer), however the real usage will strongly depend on the weather conditions like temperature, application speed and viscosity of the primer. If tape wider than 15cm is to be applied, multiple passes with the applicator are required. Remember that the spray-arm is not adjustable in vertical

position! Note: When making multiple passes with the applicator be sure to overlap the spray pattern and allow additional drying time for the overlap area.

For additional adjustment, loosen the threaded ring holding the spray tip and turn the tip so that the slotted opening is at a 90° angle with the direction of travel. Retighten the threaded ring while holding the tip at the desired angle. For normal use, keep the opening at a 90° angle to the direction of travel. Note: The pump delivers a uniform spray at normal walking speeds. A fast walking speed will provide a better spray pattern. A slow walking speed will not provide a adequate spray pattern or coverage and may cause the primer to dribble from the spray applicator.
